Munchkin Manor Childcare Center is a child centered approach. Our mission is to provide the highest quality of care and education of children that is child - centered, holistic, and values al children as individuals.
Welcome to Our Playland
Munchkin Manor Childcare Center looks forward to building an important relationship as parent, child, and childcare provider. Munchkin Manor Childcare Center has been inspected by the Department of Child and Families (DCYF) and meets all the licensing requirements as required by Washington State.
We focus on the individual and uniqueness of each child. We provide an environment that allows each child to develop at his/her's own pace.
Our Environment
We provide a welcoming child-friendly environment that involves the community and invites the community into our safe space to expose children to our rich diversity and teach them how community comes together.
We have created a play-based learning environment that allows children to learn through discovery and experimentation. Our highly trained staff oversee children's play and always encourage enquiry and secure children's safety.
Active Learning
We provide an environment where children can develop life skills that will set them for a life of success.
We encourage active imitative play in a resource rich environment where children can develop their social emotional skills that will help them transition through life.
Creative Learning
We emphasize Reggio Emilia's philosophy that emphasizes the importance of creativity and encourages children to express themselves through art, music, and other forms of self-expression.
It recognizes that children learn best when they are allowed to explore their interests and provides opportunities for them to do so.
Community Learning
We encourage and believe in a community for early childhood development that provides a physical, emotional, and cognitive environment conducive to development and learning for each child. It helps children to develop and understand relationships and social skills that benefit them throughout their lives.
We encourage a positive reinforcement between the classroom, home, and community. This helps children to transfer over their behaviors, build self-esteem, trust, and confidence. It has been shown to produce a lifetime of happiness in mental health and success and a stronger family.
